CKD: NIH guide for professionals

Nice and simple guide – but too simple.

Very US orientated. You could maybe add a star to the rating if that’s where you are.

Suggests without qualification that all with GFR below 60 should be referred to a nephrologist – this cannot be justified, and it is not internationally achievable. (It suggests that they should all see a dietitian too, about which you could say the same things).

It also suggests ACE inhibitors for all, a recommendation that has been withdrawn in the UK because of the frequency of AKI and hyperkalaemia in the elderly, comorbid.
